 The sun setting on the invisible water surface of Wemadilla Reservoir, which is located in the middle of a very beautiful Matale mountain range, was shining golden, but the first thing we noticed was a body of water shining silver on the edge of the Naula road where we entered the reservoir.Wemadilla Reservoir is a beautiful place located in Galewela Puwakpitiya area. Wemadilla was created as a feeding reservoir of Moragahakanda Reservoir.Wemadilla Reservoir has a capacity of 5.6 million cubic meters and covers an area of ​​92 hectares. This is a reservoir belonging to the Mahaweli complex and the acreage under cultivation is 728 hectares. During the construction of this reservoir, a dam of 576 meters in length was built and its height is 22.7 meters. The top of this reservoir dam is 222 meters above sea level.



Personally, my favorite place is this Wemadilla Reservoir. The reservoir surrounded by a group of trees brings to mind a wonderful feeling.If you really say this place is very beautiful .The mountain ranges around the lake make the lake colorful and the Vemadilla temple which can be seen from the side is the reason for the beauty of this place.This reservoir will provide the necessary water for agricultural activities in Puwakpitiya area as well as Matale Naula area.During heavy rains, water is poured into the lake and during that time many people come to visit this reservoir.As I think Wemadilla is a strangely beautiful place when it rains.It can be seen in this video.

Personally, I like to go for a walk, so I have been to beautiful places as much as possible. So the best example is Wemadilla Reservoir and the beauty and tranquility of its environment .πŸƒπŸ¦‹πŸž️πŸ—Ί️
